The Philosopher needs you!
As you probably know, The Philosopher is run entirely by volunteers. We are looking for more people to join our team to help us develop and expand some of the things that we do. We believe that working for The Philosopher is an exciting and rewarding thing to do and we hope that you will consider joining us.
Our YouTube channel currently has more than 7,000 subscribers and our videos have been watched almost 250,000 times. But it’s definitely a work in progress. Given how much world-class content we have on it, we should be attracting many more viewers.
In order to rethink our approach, we have teamed up with creative producer and artist Idil Ceren Bozkurt, and are currently looking for someone to manage our YouTube channel as well as some video editors to help us build a catalogue of creative, exciting video content.

Call for a Video Editor – YouTube Content
We’re looking for a skilled video editor (maybe a few!) to help create engaging short-form content for YouTube. You’ll receive a brief with clear guidelines, and your tasks will include:
✨ Basic video editing (cropping, trimming, refining clips)
✨ Subtitling (accurate, well-timed captions)
✨ Image research (sourcing relevant visuals when needed)
✨ Adding simple effects & transitions to enhance the final cut
You can use any editing software of your choice, as long as the final result is clean and polished. This is also a voluntary role.
